Finance Assistant

We have an exciting opportunity for a Finance Assistant to join our growing team, here at OneSavings Bank.

OSB are a challenger bank who specialise in specialist lending and retail savings. We’ve experienced significant growth over the last few years, with our UK employee base more than trebling to what is now approaching 500 staff.

The primary focus of the role is to ensure the efficient and timely processing of payments for the Business and contribute to the overall smooth running of the Finance Administration function. There is also the requirement to support the Financial Control team, calculating and posting transactions into OSB’s accounting systems.

As the Finance Assistant, you would be…
• Ensuring the Bank’s cheques are written or printed accurately and timely
• Assisting the Treasury department with back office administration and ensuring the treasury system is updated and accurate
• Ensuring the suspense accounts are cleared in a timely manner
• Posting Journals into our accounting system with speed and accuracy
• Monitor the team’s mailboxes as well as your own, responding to enquiries, whether received internally or externally by phone or in writing efficiently
• Interacting with OSB India providing advice, guidance and assistance including quality checking and investigating queries

This is a part time role working from 0900 – 1700 hours on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday on a weekly basis.

• The salary associated with the role would be based on your relevant experience, with the range being between £12,000 and £13,800

You’ll be a motivated, customer focussed and conscientious individual who is able to say ‘yes’ to the following questions:
• Do you have existing experience in a Finance Administration role?
• Do you have experience in a role working to high attention to detail?
• Do you have GCSE/GCE qualifications in both Maths and English?
