A skilled Welder/Fabricator is required for our busy conveyor division based in Sittingbourne, Kent. Our core products are heavily focused on food industry related conveyor systems where hygienic material such as stainless steel is extensively used.

The successful applicant will enjoy the satisfaction of producing 3D components from flat sheet stock selection to assembly of the final product using some of the following common processes; Guillotine, Hole/Slot Punching, Notching, Folding and finally TIG Welded together in line with our general assembly drawings. This is the typical route for the manufacture of a standard conveyor and training will be provided for any disciplines not previously encountered.

This is a great opportunity for a high calibre craftsman to join our team of engineers who liaise closely with our design team on a regular basis, working together to develop and produce market leading conveyor systems. You will need to demonstrate a similar previous support role within a manufacturing environment where excellent communication skills were a key requirement. Experience in staff development such as apprentice 'on the job' mentoring would also be an advantage.

Salary negotiable + production bonus (depending on experience and following successful probation period)

Hours of work: Monday – Thursday 7.30 am – 4.15 pm, Friday 7.30 am – 2.45 pm. 40 hours per week.
