This is a full time, permanent role based in Aylesford and working 42.5 hours per week with our Manufacturing Division.

Main purpose of job:
To effectively load and unload primarily Logipal vehicles using an FLT with cascade attachment and to organise the storage of pallets to enable the smooth running of the Logipal operation. In summary:-

• An FLT driving role.
• To comply with Health & Safety requirements and assist with the implementation of Company policy.
• To comply with quality assurance requirements and recording procedures.
• Ensure efficient loading and unloading of vehicles, along with other FLT activities within the area.
• Manage and ensure adherence of quality and compliance across area of responsibility.
• Be the first point of contact for Logipal lorry drivers delivering or collecting from BBMC.
• To assist with other tasks within BBMC as requested by the relevant Supervisor provided that appropriate training and guidance have been given to ensure capability.

Key Responsibilities:
Communications & Reporting:
• Ensure that relevant, timely and appropriate management information is provided according to requirement.

Other Responsibilities:
• To assist with the general upkeep and housekeeping duties in the yard including emptying tipping skips into the shredder and waste bins into the skip.
• Ensure that any Timber or Pallets are stacked a minimum of 5mtrs from all factory walls and a minimum of 5mtrs gap to be maintained between TP2 and the main building to allow fire access to the rear of the buildings.

Working Environment:
• You will require Personal Protection Equipment, such as safety boots and a hi-vis, which will be provided by your Manager – these must be worn at all times.
• You will be required to work outside all year round.

Skills & Experience Required:
Essential:
• Fork Lift Truck Licence.
• Experienced and comfortable working in a fast paced, customer focused environment.
• Good communication skills – both internal and external.
• Full understanding of H&S responsibilities for self and colleagues within a production environment.
