Ling Design is a market leading company producing Greeting Cards and Gift Packaging. We are looking for a bright, enthusiastic and dedicated individual to join our busy team based at our distribution and customer service site in Paddock Wood as our new Trainee Customer Service Advisor (Apprentice).

The successful applicant will be able to learn:

• Administering correspondence (post/email/fax) so good command of the English language will be required.
• Answering incoming calls, taking messages and dealing with enquiries.
• Opening and distribution of incoming post and management of outgoing post
• General reception duties including first point of contact with customers, visitors and suppliers
• Ordering and receiving stationary and other supplies as directed.
• Updating and inputting orders onto system as required.
• Management and maintenance of customer files and updating of database and customer records
• Other ad hoc duties.

Who should apply:

If you are interested in furthering your knowledge and career with a role that is a combination of learning and practice then this Apprenticeship role will be perfect for you. The ideal person will be well organised and have good time management. They will be educated to GCSE Maths and English at Grade C or above (or equivalent). They will be good with people and talking to the public, adaptable and happy to work on wide range of tasks. Experience of using IT databases and basic Excel is essential, full training in databases will be given. Most importantly we would love to hear from people who may have experience of a role that included office skills and telephone communications.

Future Prospects:

On completion of this apprenticeship initially ‘Customer Service Advisor – Level 2’ there are excellent career prospects for the right person to progress within the company. Apprenticeships are real jobs mixed with classroom learning which allow trainees to earn while they learn, as well as gaining a nationally recognised qualification. They are a great way to start a chosen career at Swan Mill.

Benefits:

We are offering a salary of circa £10,000, plus 20 days paid leave and paid bank holidays.
