W.E Roberts is offering the exciting opportunity for someone with electrical engineering experience in a production environment, excellent attitude to safety, a high attention to detail and a methodical approach to work to join our leading corrugated cardboard manufacturing firm based in Northfleet as an Electrical Engineer on our 14.00 - 22.00 (Monday to Friday) shift. The right candidate will have good communication skills, a willingness to learn and a good team ethic.

You will report directly into the Engineering Manager and will work with the engineering team to ensure the smooth and efficient running of the production facilities and the site. It will also involve:

• carrying out reactive & proactive maintenance on the machines;
• dynamically risk assessing tasks before carrying them out;
• working in a safe manner at all times;
• working with machine operatives to solve issues & make improvements;
• carrying out safety related repairs to the site;
• working with technical machine experts to improve knowledge of the machines; and
• any other activities as directed by the Engineering Manager.

Key Requirements for the role:

• previous engineering experience in a production environment;

• good level of organisation;
• excellent communication skills;

• ability to use own initiative.
