Role: Estate Manager

Hours: 30 hours per week

Salary: £16,600 - £20,270 per annum plus Car Allowance of £1,647 per annum and London Allowance of £1,935 per annum

Location: Ockley Court, Sidcup

Contract: FTC / Secondment until end of March 2019

Who are we looking for?

We’re looking for someone who is passionate about making a difference to our elderly residents’ lives, and the ability to build connections with our residents, employees and stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have good communication skills, with an enthusiastic and self-motivated attitude to work.

What does an Estate Manager do?

You will support our scheme at Ockley Court, Sidcup ensuring the properties are well maintained by carrying out site inspections. You will have daily contact with our residents, where you will have the opportunity to get to know them and build a rapport. You will be surprised how much you can learn from them!

We want to ensure our elderly residents are happy in their homes, so you will also facilitate events, including community and charitable events, allowing not only the residents to have fun, but the Estate Managers too - one of the many perks of the job!

As you will be out and about, we will require you to have a Full UK Driving Licence and your own vehicle.

Hear from our current Estate Managers!

“Being an Estate Manager is a rewarding job, I am very passionate about helping and influencing individuals lives. Knowing that I have made a difference to the lives of our residents is what I love most!

Each day is different, we take ownership of our estates and interact with other departments. I have access to all training and support that Moat offers, which helps me to keep up with the company’s core values.

Retirement Living have a wonderful team who are always on hand to help in any way.”

“I love my job because of the mutual respect there is on my estate between the residents and myself. It is heart-warming when I contribute to making our elderly residents day a little better. They are so interesting to talk to, because they have had lives before being a Moat resident, bringing up families, seeing world wars happen, having careers and so on.

The role is extremely rewarding and I am proud to be working for Moat and especially as an Estate Manager.”

Who are we?

Moat is one of the top 30 housing associations in the UK with 20,000 homes spread across south east London, Kent, Essex and Sussex and we continue to develop new homes at an impressive rate too – last year we delivered 861 and we are aiming for another 3,000 by 2020. Our ambition is simple - to bring an end to housing need.

We’ve been undergoing a period of amazing transformation here at Moat and our hard work is already paying off! In June we were shortlisted for Front Line Team of the Year at the 2018 Housing Heroes Awards! In September we’ll find out if we’ve won the Best Customer Care Award at the National Housing Awards!

Your benefits:

In return for your hard work, we will reward you with a competitive salary, pension scheme and the option of flexible working to give you a great work life balance. We offer a generous annual leave entitlement with the flexibility to buy and sell more.

We take pride in our people to ensure they are equipped with the knowledge they require to carry out their role and inspire them to learn more which is why we offer further education sponsorship and leadership programmes. Moat want to ensure their employees feel supported at work, so we also provide Childcare Vouchers, enhanced maternity/paternity/adoption leave, cycle-to-work scheme, and many more!

Interested? We want to hear from you!

Please submit your application, highlighting the skills and experience you can bring to Moat, before the closing date!

Please note this role is exempt under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (1974) which means that if you are successful, we will have to obtain a disclosure and barring service check before confirming the offer of employment with you.
