We are currently recruiting for a very well-established organisation that are looking to recruit a Graduate with buying exposure to join their team as a Buying Analyst.

The role will require you to support commodity purchases (and other goods and services), through effective data analysis, data mining, forecasting, Excel programming and market research, with an objective to provide effective planning and supplier management. You will be required to build and maintain effective working relationships with internal customers and suppliers. To provide additional analytical support including profitability, cashflow assessment and risk identification.

Duties will include:

* Provide statistical data analysis to support the development of procurement strategy
* Improve existing business processes through Excel programming
* Conduct market research, identifying price trends, major market influences and potential future market movements
* Regularly attend and present market updates to various internal and external customers
* Negotiate prices for the supply of goods and services
* Storage planning and third-party raw material warehousing
* Assess the risks and benefits of terms and conditions

Skills and experience required:

* Graduate level education, ideally with a 1st class business relevant degree
* Experience of above duties would be a distinct advantage
* Buying exposure is essential
* Advanced Excel skills are essential
* CIPS (Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply) or working towards
* Previously held experience in a commodity market
