• Collaboration with Sales, Marketing, Production, and Operations – you’ll be spending time with each – sometimes you’ll play the role of each!

The role:

As a purchasing and post-sales administrator you will report to the purchasing manager, sitting within the purchasing team. Purchasing assistants are responsible for the communication to external suppliers, processing purchase orders and supporting the sales team. Customer service is important to us, and so being able to communicate well with our customers is vital.

Daily tasks should include, but not be limited to:

• Generating Purchase Orders from Sales Orders, using SAGE 200
• Building the correct product price for POs, using supplier pricing
• Check lead times supplied to customers are sufficient for production with suppliers, and negotiating with all teams as required
• Supply lead times to the Sales team, based on supplier production schedules
• Liaising with suppliers during production to approve images and check schedule is on time
• Assisting with the Purchasing inbox and associated queries from other teams
• Play an active role in customer service, dealing with issues sent through from Sales team
• Use SAGE 200 and linked tracking documents, to check the status of an order
• Complete ‘credit’ form process as required
• Update Purchasing diary to record all factory correspondence
• Answering customer service calls, and updating the call log as necessary
• Process commercial invoices, and complete the handover to Logistics team

Requirements:

• Attention to detail
• Good time management and organisational skills
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Excellent communications skills for business to business, and business to customer

Other preferred attributes:

• Working knowledge of SAGE 200
