Reporting to the Procurement Manager, this is a varied role that involves providing support to all aspects of delivering the procurement and insurance functions.
Your duties will typically include:
•Working with stakeholders across the business to promote Governance & Compliance objectives, to help them achieve Value for Money, minimise insurance liability claims and ensure good governance.
•Supporting the delivery of the procurement strategy
•Supporting the delivery and research of all procurement and insurance-related tasks
•Deputising for the Procurement Manager as required
•Leading on lower value tender processes, which involves engaging with stakeholders across the business to help them to obtain Value for Money on procurement.
We’re looking for someone who is highly motivated, hardworking and a good team player. You’ll need to have good planning skills and be able to analyse and interpret financial data. You’ll also need to be able to communicate with all types of people, and be able to work on your own as well as be part of the team.
Experience of working in a procurement or insurance-related role is essential. Holding the Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (CIPS) level 4 qualification is desirable, as is an understanding of the role of insurance and procurement within a large organisation.
Contract details:
•Fixed-term contract, to cover an internal secondment for approximately 7 months (although this may be extended)
•Full-time role (37 hours per week).
