If the answer is yes - then look no further as Church & Dwight UK Ltd have an exciting opportunity for a Shift Manager to join our team! This role is on a permanent basis and is located at our manufacturing site in Folkestone, Kent.

Our manufacturing site has received significant investment over the past 5 years to accommodate fast, efficient, and in most areas, fully automated production lines. This will continue as we focus on continuous improvement, both in processes (such as Lean or Six Sigma) and also the development of our production teams competencies.

The key duties for this role include:

• Managing a Production team operating fast paced and technological manufacturing lines
• Ensuring we achieve the best cost, correct standard quality and targeted efficiency.
• Coaching and mentoring your team to develop their competencies to meet the requirements of our manufacturing technology
• Involvement in cross functional projects
• Participating in and/or leading continuous improvement projects.
• Responsibility for people management and overhead costs to meet business needs.
• Leading by example in Health and Safety, GMP, company competencies and production standards.
• Key contact between Production and both internal/external stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will have:
• Extensive experience of leading a team within a manufacturing or similar environment.
• The capability to manage, develop and motivate a team and the individuals within it
• Good knowledge of robotics and automated manufacturing technology, including fault finding and problem solving.
• Excellent communication skills, able to relay information to colleagues at all levels of the organization and to liaise with external partners as needed
• Experience of leading and/or participating in continuous improvement projects (Six Sigma or Lean would be an advantage)

This role works a 12 hour shift pattern rotating days and nights of 4 shifts on, 4 shifts off (6am to 6pm / 6pm to 6am). Flexibility is required to meet the needs of the business.
