FNH UK provides solutions for weapon design, production and mounting requirements for Infantry, AFV, and Naval platforms.
FNH UK originally traded as Manroy Engineering Limited which was formed in 1975 to support the spares requirements of the British Army.
Since July 2014 it has been a wholly-owned subsidiary of Belgium-based small arms manufacturer FN Herstal, S.A., in September 2017 the Company changed its name to FNH UK becoming more embedding into the Herstal Group of Companies.
This position reports to the Finance Manager
Duties will include, but not limited to:
• Taking the lead in maintaining and developing product costings, sales prices and transfer prices.
• The Finance point of contact for Sales and Operations for all quotes, orders and contracts.
• Review and prepare export finance documentation for key contracts.
• Analysing and reporting product and gross margin performance.
• Developing the ERP system to improve product cost control and efficiency.
• Support the Finance Manager with month end and year end procedures.
• Reporting and analysis of monthly inventory and WIP valuation and reconciliations.
• Reporting and development of daily and short term cash flow reports .
• Reviewing aged debtors and aged creditors and assisting in maintaining up-to-date records with a view to talking responsibility for these areas.
• Processing monthly variance analysis reports for the budget holders.
• Preparing and reviewing financial compliance requirements including VAT, Intrastat, EC Sales, Corporation Tax, PAYE etc.
• Preparation of payroll files and pension submission.
• Preparing monthly KPI reports for review by the Finance Manager.
• Review weekly and monthly multi-currency bank reconciliations.
• Supervise company credit card reconciliations.
• Review and report the Fixed Asset Registers against current year Capex budget.
• Monthly/weekly sales reporting.
• To partake in operating and improving internal controls and processes within the finance function.
Essential Skills
• Newly Qualified Professional Accounting Qualification (ACCA, CIMA, ACA or equivalent).
• Minimum 3 years' experience in an accounting environment, preferably in a manufacturing environment
• Eager to learn and take on challenges
• Excellent numeracy skills
• Very good Excel Skills
• Good MS Word and Outlook skills
• A keen eye with the ability to analyse data
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
• Self-starter with a pro-active approach to their work
• Experience in using SAGE Accounts would be advantageous
• Good understanding of fundamental accounting principles
• Ability to work well in a team as well as using own initiative
• Strong communication skills and good professional manner
