About the role: Tree Tops Primary Academy is seeking to appoint a number of Cleaners to expand their current team. Our successful candidates will ensure the designated areas of the academy premises are kept in a clean and hygienic condition. We can be flexible regarding the working options available, depending on the successful candidate's preference; 1 or 2 hours per day between the hours of 3.30pm - 5.30pm, Monday - Friday during Term Time with the option of overtime during school holidays. There will also be scope to take on overtime during periods of absence or key busy periods in our other three Maidstone primary academies which are just a stone's throw from Tree Tops. Our successful candidates will be reliable, able to work as part of a team and be flexible in their duties on a day to day basis. Interviews will be held on a rolling basis so early applications are encouraged.
Reporting to the Cleaning Supervisor, the post-holder will undertake the following duties;
Cleaning, washing, catch mopping and sweeping
Emptying of litter bins
Polishing and dusting where appropriate
Using powered equipment (e.g. Vacuum cleaners, polishers) where appropriate
Undertake major cleaning during academy holidays as agreed with the Facilities Manager.
Please note:
The designated areas may include toilets, washrooms and corridors.
Duties will vary between term and closure periods.
All duties must be carried out within the codes of practice of the Academy’s Health and Safety Policy.
We are looking for people with the following skills and attributes;
No formal qualifications required
Is flexible and prepared to take on a range of tasks
Is able to communicate appropriately with young people and adults
Is able to work as part of a team
Is prepared to undergo further training if required.

The academy is set in magnificent grounds, with ample space for both outdoor learning and play. Our thriving nursery is located on site and offers an excellent start for our children’s education.
