Corporate Sales and Events Executive
Salary: £17,368 - £20,800 DOE

Port Lympne Hotel & Reserve is a truly unique wedding, conference and party venue nestled in the heart of a world-famous wild animal park. The hotel located in the unique and beautiful setting of Port Lympne Reserve was converted to a four star Hotel in June last year and currently has eight exquisite rooms with plans for further expansion.

We are looking to recruit an experienced corporate sales and events executive to join a dynamic team to help develop and support the hotels corporate business. This role provides an exciting opportunity to attract new business whilst enabling you to develop skills and ensure we exceed the expectations of the client.

The role: Your duties will include but are not limited to; proactively marketing the hotel and reserve as a venue for hire, achieve and exceed monthly sales goals, dealing with phone and e-mail enquiries from existing and potential customers; attending trade fairs and representing the company, preparing brochures and client proposals, as well as producing monthly reports and ensuring the smooth operation of events.

The Person: You will need a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar corporate sales or events coordinator role preferably gained in the hospitality/leisure industry. You will have a proven track record of relationship building and able to work effectively with others to achieve common goals and targets. The ideal candidate will have a passion and enthusiasm for selling and the capacity to generate new business. You will need to possess good IT skills and be competent in the use of Microsoft Word, Office, Excel and Outlook. A welcoming phone manner and excellent interpersonal skills is also essential along with excellent communication skills both written and verbal. Previous experience with Opera booking system would be a desirable, however training will be provided.

This role is 40 hours per week worked five days out of seven, including some weekends and evening work. Candidates must have a valid driving licence with their own transport and be willing to travel around the South of England.
