You'll work with financial services clients in this role, and they tend to invest in their kit... so you'll be working with up to date systems as well as asked to consult on the newest tech as it comes out.
We are a growing and ambitious business, with offices in Kent, London, New York, Hong Kong and Dublin, we provide our service in over 17 countries, and we are the fastest growing IT company in Kent (based on the 2018 Mega Growth List). What we mean to say, is that there are chances to progress here, as well as work in exciting locations to carry out work in.
In this role you’ll be assisting our clients who are hedge funds, private equity and alternative investment companies. You will be ensuring their IT runs smoothly and projects are delivered on time. You’ll be planning and managing their office moves, software upgrades, cybersecurity audits, and disaster recovery tests to name a few examples. You’ll also be responsible for onboarding new clients onto our systems. This role will sometimes require last minute out of hours work, including at weekends. You’ll also need to keep an eye on monitoring alerts out of hours.
Success in this role will be completing projects on time, ensuring documentation and reports are submitted by deadlines and ensuring you meet or exceed SLAs. You will also be measured by customer satisfaction levels too.
The benefits you will be provided include private medical insurance, 4X salary death in service insurance, 4X salary critical illness insurance, a 3% matched pension, a private counsellor, a £2,000 individual yearly training budget, mobile phone, laptop, 25 days annual leave, plus 8 bank holidays, and the ride2work scheme. We provide a company debit card for your expenses, too.
To qualify you will need strong experience in a support environment, with some experience of planning work successfully. You don’t necessarily need to be in a projects role right now, but we are hoping to see experience of getting involved with projects. Technically, you will need previous exposure to networking equipment, VMware, Active Directory and ideally Exchange too. You’ll need to have experience setting up servers from scratch, and knowledge around disaster recovery and data protection.
The salary range is between £26,000 to £32,000 dependant on experience. On average, the team earns £3,000 a year in overtime.
