Vacancy – Finishing Machine Operator

Job Title: Finishing Operator
Salary: £ depending on experience
Payment Period: Monthly
Hours per week: 42 - 12 hour, 3 on/off shift pattern, days and nights.

JOB DESCRIPTION
This permanent, full time role involves the efficient operation of either a range of finishing machines in the production of a variety of packaging materials including PVC/PET, OPS and PLA films. Prior knowledge of the industry would be an advantage but is not essential, as full on the job training will be given.

REQUIREMENTS
Suitable applicants for this position should meet the following criteria:

• Willingness to continue with ongoing training.
• Capable of working within a team.
• The capacity to work conscientiously and to set procedures.
• Methodical approach to new tasks.
• Capacity to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Punctual and reliable.
• Flexible approach to covering holidays and other shifts on short notice
• Ability to complete administration accurately including use of good numeracy skills.

SPECIFIC SKILLS REQUIRED
Ideally you will also have the following experience:
• Shift work in a factory or similar environment, including night shifts.
• Working knowledge of ISO 9001/2000 procedures.
• Previous knowledge of slitting or machinery operation would be an advantage.
• Knowledge of the Lamination & Printing industry would also be advantageous.
