Asset and Maintenance Manager

This housing association own and manage over 1400 homes in Croydon, Bromley, Sutton and Merton. Your new role
Responsible for the strategic development and performance of the full property services function, including the effective management of all repairs, maintenance and compliancy related contracts. Responsible for ensuring all relevant policies, procedures and working practices including strategies, procurement and contract management systems are compliant and deliver value for money. Responsible for active asset management and the delivery of new development schemes in conjunction with the Chief Executive and the Director of Operations. Maintaining excellent relationships with key stakeholders, acting as the primary local contact and ensuring all project work is carried out in accordance with good professional practice and compliance with the Greater London Authority procedures and development standards and that of its funders.

What you'll need to succeed

* Knowledge and experience of building, maintenance contracting, and front line working with contractors
* Able to write/implement strategies, policies and procedures
* Knowledge and experience of successfully managing high risk compliancy contracts such as Water Hygiene, Lift Servicing and Gas Contracts
* Working knowledge of The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order and how to implement this guidance in the social housing sector
* Good communication skills and the ability to empathise and build positive relationships internally and with external professionals
* Able to plan, organise, and manage own workload
* Able to use own initiative and effectively communicate decisions
* Experience of working in a social housing sector including running a property services team and managing Compliancy based contracts
* Able to work effectively within the peer group of middle managers to deliver organisational business plans and strategies

What you'll get in return
In return you will be offered a 6 - 9 month temporary contract paying £41.16 per hour.
