About us: Porchlight is a charity supporting people who are homeless, vulnerable and isolated. At Porchlight, we are passionate about helping vulnerable people to reach their full potential. The role: As part of Porchlight’s young person service, this role is based in the Tonbridge district, and will involve supporting young people throughout their Porchlight journey. Our aim is to reach these vulnerable young people as early as possible, work together to identify their path and then continue to support into independence: the route of that journey is dependant on the needs you identify and the choices the young person wishes to make. Working wherever possible to prevent homelessness, build resilience and assist the young person to build skills for life.
What you need:
The ideal person will have experience of working with young people or vulnerable people in both supported accommodation and community settings. Knowledge of working with homeless young people and young people leaving care is desirable.
