Leeds Castle are looking for additional Retail Assistants to join the team on a zero hour contract. This will be an immediate start with the contract ending 6th January 2019. Weekend working will be essential and due to the location of the Leeds Castle estate you will need to have your own transport.


 To maintain a consistently high standard of customer care, merchandise presentation and housekeeping.

 To co-ordinate and promote merchandise with accessories wherever possible to maximise sales to customers.

 To be aware of the benefits, features and qualities of merchandise in the shops and ensure such information is accurately conveyed to the customer.

 To communicate to the Management Team any customer requests for merchandise not currently available in the shop.

 To communicate to the Management Team information concerning fast/slow moving items, plus any shortage of merchandise.

 To carry out all point of sale transactions correctly and efficiently following company procedures.

 To be responsible for dealing with exchanges, refunds, discounts and mark downs when required.

 To be responsible for cashing up at the close of business, when required.

 To be aware of new merchandise within the shop, and to be able to advise customers of new merchandise.

 To ensure that all stock is stored correctly and handled appropriately to maximise turnover and minimise wastage.


 To ensure the highest standards of customer care at all times, including after sales service.


 To carry out additional duties as required by the management team.

 To work closely with other retail consultants and supervisors as part of the overall retail team.
