We are currently seeking an energetic and highly motivated individual to join our team as our Sevenoaks Yard person. The ideal candidate for this position should be detail oriented, flexible and willing to take on all tasks as the need arises. The applicant will be mainly responsible for setting and operating our two programmable band saws to cut bar into billets prior to machining, using a fork lift truck to unload raw material when delivered and to load this onto the corresponding racking plus the general upkeep of the yard, ensuring it is always clean and tidy . They will also be responsible for handling the stock control of the materials and ensuring the correct grade of material is identified using our colour coding system.

Whilst previous experience would be an advantage, on the job training will be given however you will need to work well under minimum supervision and although a sawing schedule will be provided, you will also on occasions be expected to use your initiative should an issue arise. A current forklift competency certificate would also be a distinct advantage.
