Cedar House is a 40 bed hospital for adults with learning disabilities, mental health issues, personality disorders, autism and challenging behaviours who are detained under the Mental Health Act. Cedar House enjoys a beautiful rural location situated in the village of Barham, on the outskirts of Canterbury and is easily accessible by public transport, being on the main bus route between Canterbury and Folkestone.
We are seeking a Catering Assistant on a Flexi Bank basis to join our friendly catering team. Working a rota system covering the hours of 9:30am – 5:30pm including weekends, you will work alongside our Chefs providing daily meals for up to 40 patients in addition to staff and visitors.
You will be involved in supporting the Chefs in the preparation, cooking and serving of food to the highest standards to patients, visitors and staff, and you will assist with all aspects of maintaining a hygienic and safe kitchen and canteen area.
This post is offered on a Flexi Bank basis (working as and when required) however it is envisaged that regular hours could be offered.
