This role is responsible for managing the international logistics function as well as over-sight of our clients 3PLs in Germany and UK. Through these relationships and via your excellent communication skills, you will ensure that their international shipments are carefully planned and executed to ensure timely and accurate availability to their global customers, and that all relevant regulatory, documentation and safety requirements are met.
Our clients German 3PL was established at the end of 2017, with new brands being added to the portfolio through 2018/19.
This role was pivotal in the integration of this operation and is the liaison between our clients Germany subsidiary and their 3PL, with overall responsibility for the end to end activities, from shipment from the UK through to the end customer in Germany.
Finally, this role is also involved in significant projects at regional and global level and requires the ability to work cross functionally, source and analyse data from their in house SAP system, and to generate solutions in their fast paced commercial environment. Attention to detail and the ability to flex with changing circumstances are vital!
Due to the complex workload of this role, communication skills are key, with the ability to build relationships and influence internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
The ideal candidate will have experience within an FMCG environment, either from a Logistics, Customer Service or Export management background. Project management is a key part of this role and therefore experience and/or qualifications would be ideal.
German language skills would be an advantage.
