Hand Media International are currently looking for an ambitious and motivated Editor to join a fast-growing, friendly and successful publishing team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the delivery of two market leading publications.

We are looking for someone who can produce high quality content for the publications, web and social media channels, ensuring it is highly accessible, usable, and measurable, whilst effectively engaging the target audience.

Supporting our commercial interests, you will take a proactive approach, understanding the needs of the company and reacting quickly to events around you. You will be an outstanding communicator, who can network at all levels and have an interest in content that meets the needs of a diverse and discerning portfolio of products.

The role requires proven editorial experience with a flair for innovation, a good eye for design, and an understanding of website and social media delivery. You will need to use a range of web technologies and adapt to new ones that will connect with our members. You'll need to be familiar with content management systems, HTML, analytics, usability and search engine optimisation.
Responsibilities will include:

• Work with Publisher and Group Sales Manager to develop and implement a content strategy.
• Drive content on your specialist area ensuring it is accurate, updated and topical.
• Be on top of news and developments - not missing a big story!
• Ensuring content is easily readable and digestible for the user's experience.
• Day-to-day management of your print and digital products including social media activity.
• Edit, adapt and rewrite content as required and copy edit, proofread and quality control before publication using content management
systems.
• Oversee the production of our weekly and monthly e newsletter
• Oversee social media activity across multiple channels.
• Working seamlessly with colleagues in Sales, Production and other departments
• Making presentations externally at editorial board meetings and other settings
• Conference attendance

Knowledge and Skills Required:
• - Previous experience in a publishing environment
• - Strong commercial acumen
• - Ability to work to deadlines and manage a busy workload
• - Flexible attitude and strong team player
• - Strong communication and presentation skills
• - Sound knowledge of MS Office products
