Ever fancied working in the travel industry? We currently looking for a driven and hardworking Finance Manager to join our friendly team in Maidstone. Ski Amis are a catered chalet company that have been crafting flexible ski holiday packages in France for nearly 30 years.
In this role, you will work directly for the General Manager and will be responsible with managing the finance function of the company with the support of the Finance Administrator. We are not necessarily looking for a qualified accountant in this role, but a person with several years’ experience in a book-keeping or finance position would be equally suitable.
Your responsibilities will include all aspects of the following
• Overseeing sales and purchase ledger
• Bank reconciliations
• Credit control
• Producing weekly, monthly and quarterly management reports
• Tax reporting in both UK and France
• Maintaining products and pricing on our reservation system
• Monthly payroll with up to 75 staff
• Year-end reporting
• Preparation and monitoring of annual budget
• Supporting sales team when required during busy periods
Skills Required
• You must have achieved at least 5 subjects in GCSE Grades A to C with at least Grade 5 or “C” at GCSE Maths and English
• Knowledge of accounting principles and practices
• Excellent general administration and organisational skills
• Use of an accounting system
• Experience using Microsoft Excel
• Good accuracy and attention to detail
Preferred Skills (but not necessary)
• Accounting Qualifications
• Experience using Xero cloud accounting
• A keen skier or snowboarder
Job Benefits
• At the end of the first year, the Finance Manager will qualify to be part of the management bonus scheme which is profit based and gives the opportunity to earn up to 20% of your salary as an annual bonus
• Educational expenses paid resort trip (obligatory)
• Company pension scheme
In this role, you will eventually become an integral part of the business with responsibility for internal projects and business analysis, pricing and financial modelling. You will be required to supervise the daily work of the finance administrator
