Canterbury Oast Trust provides quality development opportunities and accredited training courses for adults with learning disabilities in a variety of vocational subjects and settings across Kent and East Sussex where people can develop their skills in a supportive real life setting.

We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, motivated, considerate and patient MULTI SENSORY LIFE SKILLS TUTOR (NON ACCREDITED) to join our team at our ART AT THE FARM life skills service.

As a MULTI-SENSORY LIFE SKILLS TUTOR (NON ACCREDITED) you will work specifically developing Multi-Sensory Art activities to create a stimulating and therapeutic environment on a 1:1 basis, supporting people with profound/complex needs.

You will need:

o An appreciation of the needs of people with learning disabilities
o To be considerate, patient, self-motivated, enthusiastic and professional
o Possess good verbal and written communication skills in order to interact with those attending life skills sessions as well as their families, support staff, colleagues and volunteers.
o Experience of working with adults with a learning disability in a sensory setting
o Transferable Art and Craft skills in order to support and teach an in-house Sensory Art and Craft session.
