Following our acquisition by Pure Safety Group (PSG), who are now the world’s largest independent provider of height safety equipment, training and resources, Checkmate Lifting and Safety is entering an exciting period of expansion - To help us get there we additional Design Engineers with a flair for innovation and an ability to deliver on time, every time, to join our new product development team, working predominantly on webbing-harnesses and fall arrest blocks.
You may be a recent graduate or an experienced design/product development engineer - if you have the right balance of delivery and flair we would love to hear from you.
Our team is hard working, with a diversity of view and a 'can do' attitude. We offer a fun working atmosphere, in a pleasant and modern environment, in an area of the South East with relatively affordable housing costs. The coffee isn't bad either. We are looking for the following skills and attributes in our Design Engineers:-
• Proficient in the use of Solidworks
• Experience, or thorough understanding of completing engineering change requests
• Experience, or understanding of, prototype building
• Experience, or understanding of, testing – prototype/development/type approval
• Experience, or understanding of, writing technical documentation including work instructions, service manuals, technical files, user
instructions, product labelling, technical data sheets
• Experience, or has confidence and communication style to undertake, training of production staff
• Understanding of relevant European and International standards and application to products
• Confidence, knowledge and vocabulary to answer technical queries
• Engineering/Design degree, time served apprentice, or qualified by significant experience.
