The South of England Rare Breeds Centre is a busy tourist attraction with more than 130,000 visitors a year, supporting the work of the Canterbury Oast Trust, a leading local charity providing first class care and support for adults with learning disabilities across Kent and East Sussex.
We are looking to appoint an Admissions and Front of House Manager to join our team at the Rare Breeds Centre. This is a permanent full time post based on 37.5 hours per week worked over five days across Monday to Sunday.
As Admissions and Front of House Manager you will oversee the delivery of quality in all aspects of the visitor experience; manage the day to day operation of the gift shop and admissions desk and provide Front of House Management cover during weekends and Bank Holidays.
The trust also provides valuable training opportunities for the adults with learning disabilities through our Life Skills Services, enabling them to develop their animal management or horticultural or customer service skills and you will be required to oversee the Retail Life Skills Service.
You will need:
o 2 years\' experience working in a visitor attraction or busy retail or customer facing environment
o Experience of front of house duties and supervising a team·
o A Diploma in Retail Management or equivalent qualification
o Knowledge of shop stock systems
o Competent with numbers/budgets and forecasting
o Be confident at speaking to and interacting with the public and school aged children
o A friendly and approachable personality with excellent customer service skills in a similar tourist environment.
