People United is an innovative arts charity that explores how the arts and creativity can grow kindness, empathy and a sense of common humanity. We work with artists, academics and activists to explore the potential of the arts in making a difference in the world.
This Chief Executive Officer role is a great opportunity for someone to lead an enthusiastic and committed team, and work with a supportive Board of Trustees to imagine and deliver future opportunities from a position of organisational strength. It will suit someone with a proven track record in leading a team, inspiring confidence in funders, partners and colleagues, and who knows how to keep a charity healthy and compliant; you may have CEO experience, or you may be ready to step up to that level. Above all, it will suit someone who shares our vision of a society that is kind, caring and equitable, and who gets excited about proving that the arts and creativity can inspire kindness and social change.
This is a full-time role, with some flexibility around working pattern. Our offices are based in Canterbury, Kent and the role will include regular travel during working hours for meetings and events, and very occasional overnights/weekends for conferences or similar.
