The FPTA Academies Trust is a multi-academy trust based in Medway, which presently consists of three secondary schools and two junior schools and is recruiting for a Finance Assistant. This is an important role within the Trust Central Finance Team and will undertake key responsibilities including order processing, input of invoice information into the Trust’s financial system PS Financials and dealing with supplier queries as well as undertaking other finance activities including bank and cash reconciliations.
This is a permanent but flexible position and we will consider applications for part time (30 hours/week, term time plus 15 days in the holiday period) as well as those seeking full time employment (37 hours/week all-year round). Please specify on your application form whether you are seeking full time or term time employment. The position requires someone who is diligent and able to work in a demanding environment with a focus and accuracy of input that will support the provision and delivery of high quality information across the Trust
Previous experience of working in a finance based position would be an advantage.
Ideally candidates should be able to evidence
• A working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
• experience working with purchase and sales ledger systems
• experience in reconciling supplier statements
