ABOUT US
• Our current portfolio of products includes national exhibitions, regular publications and a wide variety of electronic media.
• We are working on the launch of several new projects and are looking for a bright and enthusiastic person to join us.
• We are based in a converted barn in a small town on the Kent/Sussex border but have a very high national profile and our projects will offer great scope for your own personal development.
• Our long history of successful project delivery and excellent working relationships with current clients, many of whom are in the public sector, means that we are constantly being asked to develop new initiatives alongside them. We are now adding to our team to help achieve this.

ABOUT THE JOB
• After initial training, equipping you with knowledge of our products, services and markets, you will gradually be expected to take more responsibility for your own daily work schedule and achievement of targets while working alongside colleagues on these projects.
• This role will bring you in to contact with a wide range of characters from Chief Executives to exhibition stand builders, so the successful applicant will need to be confident in dealing with all types of personalities - both on the telephone and face-to-face.
• The job is wide and varied and will include telephone sales and tele-marketing as well as attendance at events (our own and others that we attend as exhibitors), client meetings and presentations.
• As many of our clients are long-standing there is also a large element of account management.

ABOUT YOU
• The right person is more important than the history on your cv but you will still need to convince us that you will be able to succeed in this position.
• You will need to be an excellent communicator with a good telephone manner, an active mind and the desire to contribute personally to the company's ongoing success.
• As well as managing your own portfolio of our current clients you will also need to be able to source new business and develop new relationships.
• As our new projects develop, the ability to be imaginative and flexible will also be an asset in both your own personal development and that of the company.
• We like to think that we offer something different as a company so try to avoid the usual clichés that you find in job advertisements, however it is essential that you are comfortable working in a team, sometimes under guidance and at other times under your own initiative and with the self-knowledge to work out which is most appropriate at any time.
