Position Expectations
The post holder will plan, allocate and co-ordinate the resources required to deliver operations on behalf of the company. You will also liaise with both internal and external agencies and co-ordinate with customers and their appointed agency representatives re arrival schedules. Deliver where necessary and within certified capabilities training needs of the operation, where uncertified recommend to Management an appropriate and approved external provider
Key Duties
• Assist in the effective management of the Reception and Stock department and its workload
• Liaise with agents and internal departments re the arrival, departure of cargo and the working schedules of arrivals to ensure sufficient resource is available
• Record manually or via systems, attendance and working times for payroll purposes as well as control the approval process for holiday entitlement
• Monitor and record all staff skills and training
• Compile weekly, monthly and quarterly reports for senior management
• Attend meeting, which may occasionally and with reasonable notice be outside of conventional office house, and take minutes or notes as appropriate
Skills and Experience
• GCSE in Maths & English Grade C or above or equivalent standard
• 3 years’ experience in a similar role
• Must be accredited to Forklift truck standard
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office products
• Ability to manage a heavy work load
• Good Industry knowledge
• Able to communicate at all levels
