Rap Interiors is a successful design and fit out contractor that delivers refurbishment projects throughout London and the South East. This role is based at Rap’s head office in Maidstone, Kent.

We are searching for the right candidate to join our company to provide office administration support to our Operations Manager.

The Job Role
We are looking for the right person who can multitask and has good attention to detail. We all rely on each other here to work in an organised fashion so strong communication is also key skill for the successful candidate.

You will be working closely with our operations manager, offering her support and help keep the cogs turning at Rap.

Duties include:
• Answer and relay phone calls
• Review and respond to emails
• Schedule and plan meetings and appointments
• Keep and update contact lists
• Write and distribute correspondence as needed, including letters, memos and forms
• Create and update company and department filing systems (paper and on pc)
• Make sure inventories of office supplies are sustained
• Assist and direct customers
• Assist other members of the rap team – from design to accounts

Our concept is to look after our clients all the way, making sure we have great relationships developing all the time. A lot of our business is repeat and referral, and with an amazing website we receive some amazing enquiries from clients who want the wow factor for their business.
This is a family business and we have a lot of fun stuff going on as well as outside the company. We celebrate successes and encourage personal development within the company.

It would be great if the applicant lived within 20 miles of Kent HQ office so travelling to and from the office doesn’t cause a problem long term.

Essential Skills:
• Must have strong analytical and mathematical skills
• Should have a good eye for details
• Good Memory – don’t have to be told things twice
• Multi tasker
• Must have good communication and interpersonal qualities
• Must be able to work as a team and foster confidence in all
• Organisational skills
• Needs problem solving skills
• Good relationship building with clients, suppliers, contractors and the Rap team
• Able to hit the ground running!
• Must be comfortable with basic computer applications, spreadsheets
• Ability to deal with all departments of the Rap team

Qualifications
Training can be provided in areas the right candidate might not feel so confident in.
We can offer a business administration apprenticeship after completing a 6 month probation period.

Rap Interiors offers a pension scheme, 20 days holiday plus bank hols, (birthday off day),
salary – between £5 and £6 per hour. We do have an office dog, so please bear this in mind, as not everyone likes working with animals.
