This is a full time, fixed term contract covering a period of maternity leave and working 37 hours per week. The role will be office based in Aylesford, Kent.

Main Purpose of Job:
This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious and motivated person to create engaging marketing content for both online and offline mediums to improve communication and influence with our key stakeholders.

You will lead on our public affairs and organised campaigns to raise RBLI’s profile nationally and improve understanding with key stakeholders. Analysing and reporting on key governmental announcements, risks and opportunities, you’ll co-ordinate responses and messaging and to raise RBLI’s profile and improved engagement with stakeholders across the UK.

A major part of the role is to create imaginative content so excellent written English skills are essential – work will include content of annual/social impact reports, fundraising/award applications, website news stories, newsletters and brochures.

The successful candidate will contribute to the design of marketing materials, working alongside our in-house graphic designer. All designs will be created within our brand guidelines – key projects will include charity brochures, digital adverts and social media campaigns to effectively communicate RBLI’s strategic goals and vision.

Your Key Responsibilities:
•Play a key role in the development and implementation of RBLI’s growth strategy – Improving Lives Every Day.
•Develop top-quality content in line with RBLI’s strategic aims for use in campaigns, and other brand awareness activities.
•Lead on policy and public affairs, keeping up-to-date on government issues and recommend actions to SMT in order to increase RBLI’s influence and raise awareness of the charity.
•Digest complex information and produce accessible, readable content to share in our, annual reports, brochures, website news stories and to share with stakeholders to promote the services which RBLI deliver.
•Planning and executing social media campaigns that deliver – whether that is generating leads, highlighting our partnerships with key stakeholders /funds or case studies on our beneficiaries.
•Producing sales and marketing materials such as brochures, case studies, white papers, social media images and presentations.
•Contribute to the development of the organisation’s influence campaign, developing key campaigns to further our profile in our targeted markets, to include employment, disability, social enterprise and the military sector.
•Ghost writing for our Exec team, helping them articulate the services we offer our beneficiaries to key stakeholders.

•Dynamic personality, you will have bags of initiative so you will bring creative ideas and novel approaches and be great at ‘opportunity spotting’.
•Strong organisational skills with the ability to thrive in an environment that works to deadlines.
•Commercial awareness and acumen.
•You will have a passion for detail, ‘right first time’, strong attention to detail.
•Can-do attitude and willing to participate in all tasks.
•Flexible in your approach and the ability to run with numerous projects of a different nature at the same time.
•A strong team player is required, however as the duties will be varied and challenging, you must also be self-motivated, enthusiastic and able to work independently on own initiative without undermining the team dynamics.
•A willingness and positive attitude towards flexibility and adaptability in work, including travel to other delivery sites and participation in events when appropriate.

Essential Skills & Experience Required:
•Degree/HND in English, Marketing, Communications or related subject with proven experience in similar role.
•Excellent written English, you'll have the ability to write strong and engaging copy for all areas of the charity.
•Experience managing projects from concept to completion.
•Research and analytical skills.
•Minimum of 4 years’ experience in a similar role.
•High standard of computer literacy (Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite).
