We are seeking to recruit a Registered Manager for a 34 bedded Residential home in Herne Bay who specialises in Mental Health - Adults.

A rare opportunity for the position of Manager has arisen at All About Care Ltd. This position is supported by full time Deputy Manager and Senior Care staff.

Skills & Abilities:

Experience of working in Mental Health
Experience of managing and leading an effective team
Level 5 Diploma in Leadership in Health & Social Care or equivalent
Excellent communication skills
Effective performance management skills
IT proficient
Knowledge of CQC Fundamental Standards
Full Driving Licence

Main Tasks of Job:

To be responsible principally for residents’ personal care needs and provide health supervision and attention through direct care where needed
To ensure that all duties undertaken by Care and Domestic staff are performed to the required standards, and that all staff contribute to the efficient running of the home and creation of the right atmosphere.
To apply the disciplinary rules as laid down and to assist in the implementation of the disciplinary procedures.
To ensure that adequate staff cover is maintained for all shifts and where, necessary, cover such deficiencies until proper staffing can be provided.
To prepare duty rosters.
To be “on-call” for emergencies arising in home.
To be responsible principally for dealing with residents and residents relations concerning health matters.
To formulate social and health care plans for new residents and produce reviews for existing residents using our ‘Digital Care Planning System’.
To control the issue of drugs for which the home has taken responsibility and to maintain the necessary records. To ensure the correct stocks of drugs are maintained and to dispose of unwanted drugs where necessary.
To oversee the development of activities for residents in which they can join, and which will enhance their quality of life.
To ensure that the preparation, cooking and serving food meet required standards.
To oversee all domestic chores are being completed regularly, punctually and to high standards.
To conduct staff meetings, staff training and development activities.
To support the Registered Provider in his/her duties as the “responsible person” for the home under the health and safety legislation and fire regulations.
To help the registered provider maintain such log books and records as may be required by the registering authority or other, including all Health & Safety documentation and presentation.
To oversee the monitoring of stock levels of food and household consumables.
To conduct interviews of new staff
To attend meetings in relation to business needs, KCTA, KICA, local forums as appropriate.
To be available for meetings with CQC, KCC and local CCG Commissioning Teams, and any other authority placing or governing placement of residents.
To be familiar with the regulations as set out by Regulatory Authorities i.e. CQC, Food Safety, Health & Safety and Fire.
To undertake regular staff supervisions and performance meetings.
To prepare and deliver annual staff appraisals
To maintain and assist with the production of Annual Quality reports for the Registered Provider and Registering Bodies.
To complete regular checks on facilities, services, rooms etc. in the home in line with company procedures
To keep up to date training records for all staff and ensure all staff attend appropriate training when necessary.
To ensure all fire procedures are monitored, regular checks are made and fire drills are completed in line with Health and Safety regulations.
To ensure all clients monies are recorded and paid according to procedures
To maintain where possible adequate client levels.

The successful candidate will be required to become Registered with CQC following the completion of All About Care’s induction programme and satisfactory pre-employment checks, including Enhanced DBS.

Salary negotiable dependent on experience (starting from £34,000.00 p.a)
