Job Title: Purchase Ledger
Location: Outskirts of Maidstone, Kent

Pay Rate: £9.50 - £10.50 per hour
Contract: Permanent
The role:
As a Purchase Ledger you will be working in accounts payable, reconciling supplier invoices and delivery notes to material orders.
Reviewing the Supplier Statement on a monthly basis and resolving any queried items within a good timescale.
Duties of a Purchase Ledger:
* Ensuring that all invoices are placed on the system daily, amending as and when required.
* Liaising with Suppliers and Site Supervisors regarding missing delivery notes.
* Liaising with the Buying Department over any queries relating the pricing and/or item quantity on invoices.
* Disputing with the Supplier any invoices that do not agree with either the delivery note or the Order.
* Reconciling Supplier Statements monthly
* Reviewing and investigating any old items on a monthly basis
* Liaise with your line manager regularly and notify any problems accurately and promptly.
* Take reasonable care for their own health and safety and for the health and safety of those people who may be affected by their actions
* Report any Accidents and near misses in compliance with Company procedures for investigation and /or remedial action.
* Any other adhoc duties relating to the Accounts Department.
Experience:
* Microsoft Word and Excel
* Accounts or previous experience in a similar role
* Strong administration skills
* Good communication skills
* Be able to drive as the office is not close to public transport
