We are working with Kent County Council on a new opportunity within their Strategic Commissioning Directorate, they are looking 3 Commercial Advisors.



As a result of a restructure within Strategic Commissioning a new team has been created at KCC so this is a very exciting time to work for Kent County Council and be part of a new team.

The Commissioning Support Unit has been set up to support Commissioning and sourcing across the organisation to make sound commercial decisions and embed a level of sourcing and spend excellence appropriate to all commissioning activity.

They require 3 Commercial Advisers within the team, and require candidates to have a strong procurement background from either a goods, works and service background .

This can be within Construction,Transport, HR, IT, Recruitment, Marketing, Goods, Buying services, Training, Stationary, to name of few.

They require someone who has worked on complex negotiations, is used to working with difficult stakeholders and has run a tender from start to finish.

 Produce project plans and participate as a key player in the project management requirements of procurement activity.

 Advise clients on the commercial and financial viability of differing sourcing options for specific projects, contract issues, tender processes and procurement cycles, operating within existing and future UK (EU) procurement laws and the Council's procedures, advising on commercial and contractual risks.

 Contribute to business strategies, advise and support clients on commercial aspects to their business.
