Job Description

Reporting into the managing director, your role will be to provide a high level of guidance and support on a range of compliance and regulatory matters to a variety of insurance clients.

Being a client facing role it is of paramount importance to build and maintain new and existing relationships with clients, regulators, and other related bodies.

Ideally this role will be on a full time basis, however the company will consider somebody part time if they have the right experience.

Your duties as a compliance consultant will include but not be limited to the following:

* Undertake audits in respect of Lloyd's coverholders following the 2018 scope
* Carry out consultancy visits and external audits as required
* Accurate resolution of technical queries raised by clients within an appropriate time frame
* Conduct ad hoc consultancy assignments with clients
* Carry out regular service visits to a number of specifically allocated clients

* Holder of a full UK driving licence, willing to travel within own client area and to other UK destinations as required e.g. Group office locations, Annual Conference venue, to undertake training etc

The Successful Compliance Consultant

I am looking for an experienced compliance professional who MUST have a background within the insurance industry, with a solid understanding of general insurance products, as well as the Lloyd's market.

You will ideally be ACII qualified, and have a formal compliance or audit qualification, as well as have experience carrying out Lloyd's Coverholder Audits. The latter is not essential and can be trained, should you have relevant compliance experience within insurance.

* Good knowledge of Financial Conduct Authority regulatory requirements, working methods and priorities
* Good knowledge of financial issues as they impact Insurance Intermediaries
* "User" of compliance
* Excellent interpersonal, communication and persuasion skills
* Ability to build and maintain professional relationships and networks
* Must have full, driving licence and be willing to use own vehicle (mileage expenses will be reimbursed)
