Software Support Officer
Starting Salary £26,460 per annum, with opportunity for progression to £30,168 per annum.

Main Duties:
We are seeking a Software Support Officer to join our extremely busy team. Software Support manages the technical requirements of more than 120 software systems across EK Services’ three partner authorities (Canterbury, Dover and Thanet), as well as the requirements of EK Services itself, the Customer Services Contractor and the shared Housing and HR functions.
In addition to having primary responsibility for a number of systems, you will also support additional systems during colleague absences. Duties include the full range of tasks associated with major software systems to include client and supplier liaison relating to software implementation, upgrades, patches and fault resolution, server and underlying software patching where required as well as associated business analysis and project management.
Regular travel between sites is required so own transport would be an advantage.
It is a requirement of this role that a successful basic disclosure and barring service check, is completed during your initial probationary period.
Essential Requirements:
Proven experience of supporting multiple, business critical third party supplied software applications
Have the ability to understand and successfully resolve complex problems and exploit opportunities
Have proven excellent inter-personal, networking and communication skills and a strong customer focus
Ability to work with minimal supervision and self motivated
Proven experience of delivery of quality ICT software services
Proven experience in using reporting and query tools
Desirable Requirements:
Extensive experience in supporting business applications in a public sector environment
Relational database management experience
Business analysis skills
Proven experience of being able to quickly establish and maintain credibility with managers, employees, customers and suppliers
Proven experience of successfully communicating complex issues coherently and persuasively
Project management experience.
