Are you a strategic Procurement Manager with "in-direct" buying experience, seeking your next opportunity within a large organisation?

This is a fantastic role for you to develop and foster strong working relationships across teams outside of Buying or Purchasing, to ensure the smooth running of the business. You will play a pivotal role, understanding the needs of the business to provide efficient services in line with company budgets.

We are looking for someone who is analytical and data led to deal with suppliers, and develop strong working relationships. You will create strategic management plans within the defined areas to deliver against: short, medium and long term business goals.

Job Specifics:

* Ability to evaluate and recommend suitable suppliers based on financial and non-financial data. Identification of suppliers that want to work with the company on a partnership basis for long term mutual gain;
* Identification of and delivery of financial savings;
* Identification of and delivery of non-financial savings and efficiency's;
* Creation of annual category plan covering all assigned categories, with a clear path and journey for future development;
* Gathering stakeholder requirements and aligning resource to them;
* Monthly reporting of progress vs category plan, both within the procurement team and the wider business in general;
* Support in the development of procurement principals and policies, and actively demonstrate this in ways of working;
* Managing effective stakeholder communication;
* The ability to influence, using your own inter-personal skills and effective communication styles;
* Draft contracts which mitigate risk and ensure long term stability of suppliers and pricing at competitive rates;
* Ability to see the bigger picture, and identify what the long term opportunities are, and develop a solution which allows for continuous improvement.

Knowledge and Skills - Essential:

* Understanding and experience of strategic category sourcing tools and techniques;
* Experience of e-auctions and online tenders is essential;
* Experience of eRFX and RFI procedures;
* Analytical / financial skills;
* Five+ years experience of strategic sourcing;
* Strong indirects background demonstrating experience in working with multiple departments;
* Practical experience of delivering lowest total cost of ownership solutions;
* Bringing people and resources together.
