Kent School of Architecture (KSA) is based in the Marlowe Building at the heart of the Canterbury campus.
The School has been established for over thirteen years at the University, commencing operation in 2005. It quickly established a reputation for the high quality of its teaching provision, and has now reached steady state in terms of undergraduate student numbers, with recruitment very strong at high tariff. At undergraduate level, we offer both the BA (Part 1, three years) and March (Part 2, two years). Both these programmes have been unconditionally continually validated by the RIBA until 2019 and fully prescribed by the ARB until 2020. We also offer several postgraduate taught programmes, including an MA in Architectural Visualisation; an MA in Architecture and Urban Design; an MSc programme in Architecture and Sustainable Environment and an MSc in Architectural Conservation. The School intends to add Digital Architecture and Sustainable Landscape Design to its portfolio soon. The PhD programme represents the breadth of specialisms available in the School. In April 2018 the School appointed a Professor of Planning to develop a School of Planning.
