Runway Training was established in 2008 as a provider specialising in adult literacy and numeracy. Today we offer a wide range of courses and deliver across Kent and the wider South East. To date, we have helped in excess of 10,000 learners achieve nationally-recognised qualifications, enabling them to develop the skills they require to achieve their goals.

The Project Manager will be responsible in assisting with the smooth running of a new Big Lottery Fund (BLF)/European Social Fund (ESF) Building Better Opportunities (BBO) funded service. This service is designed to increase wellbeing, resilience and skills, and to provide a pathway to work, volunteering or work-like activities for people who have had mental health issues which have been a barrier to work. Aspirations for Life, will include partners from the voluntary sector, arts, sports and community groups and will be delivered across Kent and East Sussex.

This role will ensure that literacy and numeracy support and activities are compliant with the aims of the service. The post holder will ensure frequent and effective communication between partners and staff members located in remote offices by developing and implementing procedures around this. The Project Manager will line manage a full-time Functional Skills Support Worker and coordinate any additional staff required for this project. Monitoring and evaluating the services will be a big part of this role. You will be responsible for shaping service delivery, building strong relationships with partners and maintaining Runway Training’s strong reputation.
