The goal of Watchfinder’s email function is to grow, understand, and maximise the potential of our permission marketing database to support the wider marketing and business objectives of the company. This role is intended to lead our email offering with a range of activity, including (but not limited to) email build, send, testing, reporting and understanding the wider impact of email activity on the business.

Key duties and responsibilities of the Email Marketing Manager and the email team:

-Manage the email marketing team
-Daily monitoring of all email activity/engagement using CRM data, Google Analytics and our ESP to report on various metrics including (but n-not limited to) sessions, goals, and transactions
-Work with Marketing Manager/Head of Marketing to integrate email and social schedule where appropriate
-Ultimately responsible for ensuring that emails are free of error
-Monitor database and size, and report on signups and removals
-Ensure customers are removed from the database when requested and all aspects of the channel align with GDPR
-Contribute to new ideas and segments for future email campaigns
-Enhance the channel's performance through split testing on a range of subject lines, content, segments, and day partings
-Develop and monitor our transactional/triggered emails
-Develop our database segmentation to allow for more nuanced customer targeting and communication
-Work with the team to understand email acquisition channels
-Narrate the email section of the Monthly Report

Other duties and responsibilities

-Willingness to engage with other marketing channels – we are looking for someone who is willing to learn and get stuck in with all areas
-Respond to requests for data or insight from directors or Head of Retail and attend meetings if required
-Be on hand to assist the marketing team with ad hoc projects and tasks
