Horticulture and Landscape Apprenticeship Tutor / Assessor
Salary: £23,903 to £32,157 p.a.
Hours: 37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year
Locations: Based at Hadlow
We are looking for an Industry Qualified, self-motivated individual to join our growing Apprenticeships and Training Department to provide assessment, guidance and portfolio building support to Hadlow College Apprenticeship learners.
The role will involve plenty of face to face contact, encouraging employers within the relevant industries who meet the contractual needs to provide the necessary training, work skills and knowledge for their Apprentices.
The successful candidate will carry out Apprentices’ assessments, Functional Skills support, provide counselling and guidance to Apprentices during current learning programmes and assist in future career development. They will research and develop a variety of employer placements within industries where opportunities exist for learners on the College programmes and promote the corporate training objectives of the College through contacts with employers and other agencies.
The successful applicant must have both relevant industry and education experience in employer liaison and/or contract compliance. A recognised teaching qualification or willingness to work towards one is essential, as is a level 2 qualification in literacy and numeracy and a Level 3 vocational qualification in a relevant curriculum area.
As well as a contributory pension scheme, health cash plan and free car parking, this post also attracts seven weeks holiday each year (excluding bank holidays).
The successful candidate will be required to undertake an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) Check and provide proof of their right to work in the UK. Where applicable, a prohibition check will be carried out.
