Checkmate is the UK’s leading innovator, designer, manufacturer and trainer of lifting and height safety equipment. Since becoming part of the Pure Safety Group of companies this year, Checkmate is gearing up for an unprecedented level of growth and expansion. In order to support this we are recruiting for a newly created Draughter/Draughtsman/CAD Technician role which will be a shared resource between the fixed safety system (roof access) and Product Design teams.
This is a salaried, permanent role, hours are Monday to Friday 0800-1700 - though some flexibility is required.
The wide portfolio of the role will ensure that there is plenty of variety of work - one day you could be producing drawing for a prototype of an innovative new product, and the next you could be outdoors on a roof surveying for an installation. The role also offers excellent routes for progression for a candidate with potential - either into product design or system installation - however if you would prefer to remain in a draughting role then this is absolutely fine with us too!
Who we are looking for:
• Autocad and or Solidworks, or similar
• Able to produce GA’s
• Able to produce work shop metal fabrication and product design drawings
• Ability or potential to conduct site surveys
We will consider applications from experienced or newly qualified individuals.
