To ensure the packaging of Pharmaceutical and Veterinary products is performed in line with current Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP), Regulatory, Aesica and Safety standards. To train and develop operators to ensure that high quality and safety standards are maintained. The line Coordinator is an integral part of the leadership team ensuring effective performance and delivery of the product schedule across several lines. A line coordinator must be flexible in their outlook and be prepared to work over a wide range of tasks across different functional activities to meet the department’s objectives.

Some of the things you will be accountable for include;
• Ensure all activities performed in the production areas are being conducted in a safe manner.
• Ensure all GMP areas are kept in a state of constant audit readiness.
• Works safely and in line with cGMP at all times, ensuring full compliance of self and others with BOPs
o Reviews and updates BOPs and training documents in line with current best practises to ensure standard methods of work across the department.
o Promotes good housekeeping standards at all times and in all areas of work, equipment, workspace and documentation. Performs quality / safety / housekeeping audits.
o Reports unsafe acts, conditions or equipment and promotes safety awareness; raises Engineering Work Orders on SAP
o Coordinate activities and staff allocated to lines according to agreed priorities with Shift manager. Ensure effective performance across individual lines to maximise value add time during: line running, change over, cleaning, other unplanned stoppages
• Processes finished pack shop orders in accordance with production schedule, sets up, operates and cleans equipment as required to meet schedule.
• Performs Line Clearance Verification in accordance with BOP’s.
• Identify, investigate and resolve issues in a timely manner
• Identify poor performance and elevate to production manager if required.
• Monitor position against the visual schedule and elevate issues that cannot be resolved directly.
• Elevate material and scheduling issues to production managers when appropriate
• Use information (e.g. safety and ER actions) to continuously improve line performance – safety, quality and output.
• Behave professionally, with a positive attitude and participates effectively in the team by leading by example, motivating, being open, cooperative and supportive.
• Ensures teams training is kept up to date, including reassessments where applicable. Support the production managers in defining the training strategy & deliver required training to new and existing team members.
• Support Continuous Improvement & Operational Excellence activities within the packaging department to develop more efficient ways of working.
• Carries out other tasks and duties as and when required.

About you
• The line coordinator is required to have had extensive experience within Pharmaceutical operations ideally finished dose packaging or manufacturing.
• A skilled leader and motivator with proven interpersonal communication skills.
• The line coordinator must also be capable of developing persons within the team to their maximum potential.
• A good standard of written and oral literacy and numeracy is also required.
• Ability to use standard computer programs (e.g Microsoft word,excel etc) and be able to perform transaction within SAP (training will be provided on SAP).
