Trainee Security Gate Automation Engineer

Circa £11ph and rising to £14ph
Minimum age of 22 due to insurance

Our client designs, installs and maintains high quality gate solutions for prestigious commercial clients. They are growing in strength within their market share having secured significant national projects.
They are now looking for an experienced Gate Automation Engineer to join their growing team.
The ideal candidate will have experience working on automated gates, with a good understanding of the health & safety procedures. Ideally you will be conversant in FAAC, CAME, BFT products, Roger Technologies and FEIG control systems.
You must also must be able to carry out and fully understand Gate Risk Assessments, Force Tests and also recommended works to update gates to be compliant with current legislation. The role will entail fault finding and fault diagnosis along with advising customers of potential machine faults and how these can be rectified.
REQUIREMENTS
•A full UK driving licence is a necessity – this is a field based role and travel within the South East Region is expected.
•Experienced in Gate Automation
•Proficient with the full installation process including groundwork, installing gate posts and running cables under the ground, commissioning and testing of the automation system making sure that it complies with the latest health and safety requirements
•Excellent customer facing skills and self-presentation are required
•Excellent English both written and verbal
•The candidate must be able to demonstrate key Engineering skills not limited to:◦Mechanical and Electrical diagnostics.
◦Responsibility for Van Stock / Replenishment and Stock Taking
◦Competency in problem solving and an ability to make diligent recommendations
◦Demonstration to Clients and End Users of completed systems or individual work(s). Working as a mobile service engineer you will be responsible for the installation, service, maintenance and PPM works on customer sites across the regions
