We are currently looking for a Business Analyst, reporting directly to our CTO. The role requires someone who can work in a fast paced, ever changing environment. Exceptional communication skills are essential, along with critical thinking and people skills. A good sense of humour is a must have too.

The main purpose of the position is:

To create and augment both business process and software development specifications when required by the business.
The incumbent is to be the de facto lead analyst and will set the standards and methods for requirements analysis in use within the enterprise.
This role is designed to fill the gap in our business for requirements analysis which when successful will result in a reduction of wasted development effort as well as improve the success rate of software development projects and business process works. The role is also a pre-requisite for the expansion of the PMO and the adoption of both service management and QA to the business.

Key duties & Responsibilities:

Responsible for the production of ‘as is’ and ‘to be’ specifications for existing services and systems and their successors.
Responsible for the production and maintenance of ‘as is’ specifications for existing business processes.
Responsible for extending requirements analysis methods and standards where appropriate in line with business needs.

Essential skills:

Experience of applied business analysis in order to improve business process and create efficiencies
Experience of multiple requirements analysis methods
High level of critical thinking skills
Visual modelling skills
Process modelling skills


Desirable skills:

BA certification
Experience with requirements analysis for software development
Experience with quality systems
Experience with service management methods

Experience Required:

Hands on practical experience of business analysis
Experience of using multiple requirements analysis methods


Knowledge:

Working knowledge of project management methodologies
Understanding of requirements analysis methods
