Salary: £23,903 to £32,157 per annum,
plus Outer London Weighting ( £1,393pa)

Hours: Full time 37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year
Locations: Mottingham, South East London

We are looking for a Lecturer to join our existing vibrant and motivated team, delivering a range of animal management courses to our Further Education students at our Mottingham Campus.

The successful candidate will need practical experience in an animal care industry plus teaching experience in a practical and/or classroom setting. A keen interest in a wide range of animal related subjects is essential, as is a level 3 qualification in an animal related subject.

In addition to the minimum requirements detailed above, candidates will also need a teaching qualification or the willingness to work towards one. Support is given to those who wish to train and as they work for the qualification, staff will receive a bonus of £600.00 in the third year and £750.00 in their fourth year, providing they have successfully gained their full teaching qualification at Hadlow College.

Applicants must show proof of a minimum Level 2 or equivalent in maths and English. Excellent communication, team work and IT skills are a must. Experience delivering Animal Behaviour and related subjects at Higher Education level would be advantageous. Qualifications Certificates in Assessing Vocational Achievement and A1/A2 (or D32 and D33) would also be advantageous.

As well as a contributory pension scheme and free car parking, this post also attract 35 days holiday each year (excluding bank holidays).

The successful candidate will be required to undertake an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) Check and to provide proof of their right to work in the UK. Where applicable, a prohibition check will be carried out.
