We are looking to recruit a highly motivated individual to join our existing Fisheries team, to tutor, teach and give practical instruction to full and part time students across a range of Higher and Further Education courses. You will need a degree or equivalent in a related subject, be fully conversant with all aspects of fishery management, aquaculture, fish health and welfare and current legislation.
Candidates will also need to be adaptable, resourceful, reliable and resilient, have excellent communication and IT skills and the ability to work well as part of a team.
In addition to the minimum requirements detailed above, candidates will also need a teaching qualification or the willingness to work towards one. Support is given to those who wish to train and as they work for the qualification, staff will receive a bonus of £600.00 in the third year and £750.00 in their fourth year, providing they have successfully gained their full teaching qualification at Hadlow College.
As well as a contributory pension scheme, health cash plan and free car parking, this post also attracts seven weeks holiday each year (excluding bank holidays).
The successful candidate will be required to undertake an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) Check and provide proof of their right to work in the UK. Where applicable, a prohibition check will be carried out.
