As Head of Data Protection you will:

a Data Protection practitioner qualification or relevant legal qualification or equivalent
significant experience of working in information compliance
a proven record in managing the processing of both Subject Access Requests and Freedom of Information Requests to a high standard
experience of training and presenting to all levels including senior management
This opportunity is offered on a full time, ongoing basis.
The Information Compliance Team consists of the Head of Data Protection and the Information Compliance Officer. The team is part of the Council Secretariat which consists of a further 3 members of staff: the Secretary to Council, the Deputy Secretary to Council and a Secretarial Assistant.
The Council Secretariat’s work is focused on the high level governance of the University and it supports the University’s governing body, Council and its related committees (Audit, Finance and Resources, Redundancy, Staff Policy, Safety, Lay Nominations, Honorary Degrees).
