Our H&S department is responsible for developing and implementing Health and Safety best practise across the site, ensuring the company complies with all current health and safety legislation including Acts, Regulations, ACoPS and official guidance and standards.
Due to continued growth we are looking for an experienced Assistant H&S Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will work proactively with all Directors and Managers, to establish and maintain a programme of continual improvement in the management of Health and Safety within their areas of responsibility.
Essential
• Minimum Nebosh General Certificate/ or Level5/ 6 Diploma in occupational Health and Safety or working towards Level 6 Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety Practice.
• Minimum Tech IOSH/Grad IOSH Membership
• At least 5 years’ experience in a HSE management role with Line Management experience
• Auditing qualification in Health and Safety management system
• Proven ability to accept responsibility and make decisions
• Proven ability to prioritise work and work to deadlines
• Proven ability to liaise with people at all levels within the internal and external environments
• Hold a formal qualification in delivering training (PETALS or train the trainer etc)
Desirable
• Health and Safety experience in manufacturing environment
• Experience of BSI OHSAS 18001 standard, or BSI OHSAS 14001
• Knowledge of Legionella and Asbestos experience
The position will work Monday to Friday flexible to meet the needs of the business.
